Inner Circle was commissioned by The United States Information Agency for a tour of Laura Dean Dancers and Musicians in 1983.

Performance at the University of California Riverside in 1983.

This is the first version of Inner Circle with 3 men and 3 women dancers and synthesizer in the music score. The 2nd version (1989) is for 6 women with the synthesizer removed from the music score.

Dancers: Ching Gonzalez, Bill Setters, Renouard Gee, Kristin Jackson, Liz Maxwell and Marianne Shultz. Musicians: Laura Dean, Don McGlashan and David Yoken.
